Echo Studio (2025) Smart Home Devices Not Responding

Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Run a Smart Home Device Discovery
In the Alexa app go to Devices → the plus (+) icon → Add Device → Other → Discover Devices. This scans your network for new and existing smart home devices and re-establishes connections for devices that have dropped. Run this whenever devices stop responding.
2. Check the Built-In Hub Is Functioning
The Echo Studio (2025) includes a built-in Zigbee, Matter and Thread hub. If Zigbee devices are not responding, in the Alexa app go to Devices → Echo Studio → Smart Home Hub and confirm it is active and enabled.
3. Check the Skill for the Affected Brand
For devices connected via a third-party skill (Philips Hue, Hive, LIFX etc.), open the Alexa app, go to More → Skills & Games, find the relevant skill and check it is enabled and your account is still linked. Re-link the skill if needed.
4. Restart the Affected Device
Power cycle the smart home device that is not responding — switch it off at the socket or remove its power, wait 10 seconds, then restore power. Many smart home devices need a restart to re-establish hub communication.
5. Restart the Echo Studio
Unplug the Echo Studio for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow it to fully restart and reconnect. The built-in hub reinitialises on startup and this resolves most hub communication issues.
