2. Check the Heating Schedule

In the app, review your heating schedule. If the heating is set to a low temperature or off during the current period it will not heat. Check for any Eco or Away mode that may be active.

3. Check Your Boiler Is Switched On

Confirm your boiler is powered on and has not locked out. Check the boiler pressure gauge is in the normal range (usually 1-1.5 bar when cold). A boiler that has lost pressure or locked out will not respond.

4. Restart the Thermostat

Press and hold the thermostat ring for about 10 seconds until the screen turns off, then release to restart it. Allow it to restart fully, then test the heating again.

5. Check the Heat Link Connection

The Nest Learning Thermostat communicates with your boiler via the Heat Link unit. Check the Heat Link has power and that its light indicates a connection to the thermostat. If it shows no connection, the heating cannot be controlled.
