Smart Light Switch, 2-Gang 1-Way
Tapo S220 Review

2-gang 1-way  |  No neutral needed  |  Under 1000W, no minimum load  |  25 mm+ back box  |  Needs H100 or H200

Overview

The Tapo S220 is the 2-gang version of the S210, so it controls two lights from one switch plate. Tapo says it needs no neutral wire, has no minimum load with a maximum under 1000W, and needs a back box at least 25 mm deep.

It connects through a Tapo H100 or H200 hub and works with Alexa and Google. Tapo’s installation guide says it runs on 2 AAA batteries and is for lights and fans only (fans under 50W).

Setup & Installation

This replaces a mains light switch. Tapo’s guide says to turn off the breaker, take a photo of the old wiring, and connect the live wire (from C or L). Lin and Lout can go either way, and any neutral should be capped. If you are not sure, use a qualified electrician.

Then add it to your H100 or H200 hub in the Tapo app.
