Echo Studio (2025) Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi

🔄 Try this first — Unplug the Echo Studio from the wall, wait 10 seconds, then plug back in.

Is your Echo Studio (2025) failing to connect to Wi-Fi during setup or after a network change? Here are the checks you can safely carry out before contacting support.

What This Problem Means

The Echo Studio cannot establish or maintain a Wi-Fi connection. The 2025 model supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and is backwards compatible with older Wi-Fi standards — but if setup fails, the most common causes are an incorrect password or the device being too far from the router.

Common Symptoms

  • Setup stalls at the Wi-Fi connection stage in the Alexa app
  • Orange light ring indicating a Wi-Fi connection issue
  • Echo Studio appears offline in the Alexa app after a router change
  • Device connects successfully during setup but drops offline frequently

Safe Checks You Can Try

1. Check the Wi-Fi Password

In the Alexa app, go to Devices → Echo Studio → Change Wi-Fi and re-enter your Wi-Fi password. An incorrect password is the most common cause of setup failure. Pay close attention to upper and lower case characters and any special characters.

2. Move the Device Closer to the Router During Setup

For initial setup, place the Echo Studio within 3 metres of your router. Once connected, move it to its final position. Setting up at distance is a frequent cause of connection failure. The Wi-Fi 6E capability provides excellent range once connected.

3. Restart Router and Echo Studio

Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Once the router has fully reconnected, unplug the Echo Studio for 10 seconds, plug it back in and attempt setup again.

4. Check Your Router Broadcasts the Correct Band

The Echo Studio supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is set to 6GHz only and your router firmware is older, try temporarily switching to 2.4GHz or 5GHz for setup. Most home routers broadcast all supported bands automatically.

5. Deregister and Re-register the Device

If the Echo Studio shows offline after a router change, open the Alexa app, go to Devices → Echo Studio → Deregister, then set the device up again from scratch via the Alexa app. This refreshes the network credentials stored on the device.
