Blink Mini 2 Live View Not Working? Here’s How to Fix It
Live View streams real-time video on demand. When it fails it usually points to a weak connection between the camera, the hub and your router.
What This Problem Means
If your Blink Mini 2 is showing this fault, working through the checks below in order will resolve it in the large majority of cases. Each step is safe to try yourself and is based on Blink’s official guidance.
Common Symptoms
- Endless loading spinner
- “Camera busy” message
- Black or frozen live screen
- Live View times out before loading
Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Restart the camera and router
Unplug your camera’s power cable for 5 seconds, then plug it back in and wait 30 seconds. Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds too. This clears most temporary glitches.
2. Check the signal strength
Check your Wi-Fi signal where the camera is mounted. A weak signal causes Live View to fail — move the camera closer to the router or add an extender.
3. Check your upload speed
Live View needs enough upload bandwidth. Run a quick speed test near the camera and lower the video resolution if your connection is slow.
4. Move the camera closer
Reposition the camera nearer your router or Sync Module, or add a second module for large properties.
5. Close and reopen the app
Fully close the Blink app and reopen it to refresh the connection.
