If your Reolink Argus 3 Ultra is showing as offline, the checks below will resolve the issue in the large majority of cases.
What This Problem Means
When the Reolink Argus 3 Ultra goes offline it loses its connection and stops sending alerts or streaming video. This is almost always a power or Wi-Fi issue rather than a hardware fault.
Common Symptoms
- Red or no indicator light on the device
- No motion alerts being received
- Live View fails to connect
- Device shown as offline in the Reolink app
- Last event shown in the app was some time ago
Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Check the battery level
Open the Reolink app and go to Device Settings or Device Info to check the battery level. If the battery is low, charge it via USB-C until the indicator shows full, then reinsert and wait for the device to reconnect.
2. Restart the device and router
Press and hold the power button on the camera for about 5 seconds until you hear a prompt tone, then release. Wait 60 seconds for it to restart fully. Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds too. At the same time, restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
3. Check Wi-Fi signal strength
In the Reolink app, go to Device Settings and check the Wi-Fi signal indicator. A weak signal is the most common cause of battery cameras going offline. Move the camera closer to your router, or add a Wi-Fi extender between the router and the camera.
4. Check for network changes
If you have recently changed your Wi-Fi password, upgraded your router or switched broadband provider, the camera will have lost its saved credentials. Open the Reolink app, go to Device Settings and reconnect to Wi-Fi with the new details.
5. Check the Wi-Fi band
The Reolink Argus 3 Ultra supports 2.4GHzand 5GHz. If your router merges 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one network name, try separating them and reconnecting the camera to 2.4GHz for better range.
