Echo Studio (2025) No Sound

What This Problem Means
The Echo Studio is online and responding to voice commands but no audio is coming from the speaker. This is almost always a volume or settings issue rather than a hardware fault.
Common Symptoms
- Alexa responds to voice commands but no sound comes from the speaker
- Volume appears full but no audio output is heard
- Sound stopped after a routine or voice command was used
- Other Echo devices in the group play but the Studio is silent
Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Check the Volume
Say “Alexa, volume 8” or use the volume ring on the top of the Echo Studio. The volume may have been set to zero by a voice command or routine. The volume ring allows manual adjustment without needing a voice command.
2. Check Do Not Disturb Is Not Active
In the Alexa app, go to Devices → Echo Studio → Do Not Disturb. If this is enabled, notifications and music playback can be suppressed. Disable it and test audio output again.
3. Check Group Settings
If your Echo Studio is part of a speaker group, another device in the group may be designated as the primary output. In the Alexa app go to Devices → Groups and check which device is active. Try playing audio directly on the Echo Studio rather than to the group.
4. Restart the Echo Studio
Unplug the Echo Studio from the wall, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow one minute to fully restart. A firmware restart resolves most cases where audio output stops without any obvious settings change.
5. Check Audio Output Settings
In the Alexa app go to Devices → Echo Studio → Audio Settings. Confirm that the audio output is set to the Echo Studio itself and not redirected to a connected Bluetooth speaker or Fire TV device.
