🔄 Try this first — Unplug the Echo Studio from the wall, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

Is your Echo Studio failing to connect to Wi-Fi during setup or after a network change? Here are the checks you can safely carry out before contacting support.

What This Problem Means

The Echo Studio cannot establish a Wi-Fi connection — most commonly an incorrect password or the device being too far from the router.

Common Symptoms

  • Orange light ring indicating a Wi-Fi issue
  • Setup stalls at the Wi-Fi stage in the Alexa app
  • The Echo Studio appears offline in the Alexa app
  • The device connects then drops offline frequently

Safe Checks You Can Try

1. Check the Wi-Fi Password

In the Alexa app, go to Devices → Echo Studio → Change Wi-Fi and re-enter your password carefully. An incorrect password is the most common cause of failure.

2. Move Closer During Setup

Place the Echo Studio within 3 metres of your router during setup, then move it to its final position once connected.

3. Restart Router and Device

Unplug your router for 30 seconds, plug it back in, then restart the device and try setup again.

4. Check the Router Band

The Echo Studio supports dual-band Wi-Fi. If setup fails on one band, confirm the other is broadcasting and try each separately.

5. Deregister and Re-register

If the Echo Studio shows offline after a router change, deregister it in the Alexa app and set it up again from scratch to refresh the stored credentials.
