If your Tapo C675D is showing this problem, working through the checks below in order will resolve it in the large majority of cases.

What This Problem Means

The Tapo C675D cannot establish or maintain a Wi-Fi connection. This prevents live view, motion alerts and remote access from working.

Common Symptoms

  • Camera shown as offline in the app
  • Setup fails at the Wi-Fi connection step
  • Camera connects briefly then drops off again
  • Flashing or unusual LED behaviour during setup

Safe Checks You Can Try

1. Restart the camera and router

Press and hold the reset button on the camera for 5 seconds until the LED flashes, then release. Wait 60 seconds for the camera to restart. Also restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Wait 2 minutes before attempting to reconnect in the app.

2. Check Wi-Fi signal strength

Move the Tapo C675D closer to your router temporarily and try connecting. If it connects when close, the installation location has too weak a signal. A Wi-Fi extender will resolve this.

3. Confirm the correct Wi-Fi band

The Tapo C675D connects on Dual-band 2.4GHz (802.11b/g/n) + 5GHz (802.11a/n). If connecting to 5GHz, ensure the camera is within good range of the router.

4. Re-enter Wi-Fi credentials

If your Wi-Fi password has changed recently, reconnect the camera in the app.

5. Check router security settings

Ensure your router does not have MAC address filtering or device isolation enabled. WPA2 or WPA3 is recommended.
