Blink Outdoor 4 Keeps Disconnecting? Here’s How to Fix It
A camera that drops offline intermittently usually has a weak or unstable signal between it, the Sync Module and your router.
What This Problem Means
If your Blink Outdoor 4 is showing this fault, working through the checks below in order will resolve it in the large majority of cases. Each step is safe to try yourself and is based on Blink’s official guidance.
Common Symptoms
- Random offline drops
- Delayed notifications
- Live View drops mid-stream
- Reconnects on its own then drops again
Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Check the camera-to-module signal
In the app, check the Connection to Sync Module signal icons — a weak signal causes drops.
2. Move the camera or add a module
Move the camera closer to the Sync Module, or add a second module to cover a large property.
3. Reduce interference
Disconnect extenders and pods so only your main router is active, and keep the camera away from microwaves and thick walls.
4. Replace the batteries
Fit fresh 1.5V lithium AA batteries — a fading battery causes intermittent drops.
5. Power-cycle module and router
Restart both the Sync Module (10 seconds) and the router (30 seconds).
