Is your Echo Studio producing no sound when playing music or responding to commands?
What This Problem Means
The device is online and responding to voice commands but no audio is coming from the speaker.
Common Symptoms
- Alexa responds to commands but no audio output is heard
- Volume appears full but no sound comes out
- Sound stopped after a routine or voice command
Safe Checks You Can Try
1. Check the Volume
Say “Alexa, volume 8” or use the volume control on the Echo Studio. The volume may have been set to zero by a voice command or routine.
2. Check Do Not Disturb
In the Alexa app go to Devices → Echo Studio → Do Not Disturb. If enabled, audio output may be suppressed.
3. Check Group Settings
If the Echo Studio is in a speaker group, another device may be the primary output. Try playing audio directly to the Echo Studio by specifying its name.
4. Restart the Device
Unplug the Echo Studio from the wall, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow one minute to fully restart.
5. Check Audio Output Settings
In the Alexa app go to Devices → Echo Studio → Audio Settings. Confirm audio output is not redirected to a Bluetooth device or Fire TV.
