Safe Checks You Can Try
Check thermostat is calling for heat
1. Set the thermostat target temperature above current room temperature
2. Check the display shows the heating symbol is active
3. Listen for the boiler to fire within 2 minutes
4. If boiler doesn’t respond, the issue may be with wiring or the boiler itself
Check system power and wiring
1. Verify the circuit breaker for your heating system has not tripped
2. Check the boiler power switch is in the on position
3. If you have a C wire, ensure it is securely connected
4. Loose wiring at the thermostat base is a common cause of heating failure
Replace or recharge battery
1. If thermostat display is dim or showing low battery, charge or replace batteries
2. Low power can prevent the thermostat from sending heating signals
3. Install fresh AAA batteries or connect a C wire for continuous power
4. Test heating after replacing batteries
Check and replace air filter
1. A blocked air filter can cause the heating system to shut down automatically

3. Hold it up to light — if you cannot see light through it, replace it
4. Replace with a compatible filter and test heating again
