Check internet upload speed
1. Ring requires a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps for 2K video.
2. Test your broadband speed. If below 10 Mbps, video quality will be reduced.
Check Wi-Fi signal strength
1. Open Device Health and check RSSI. Aim for between 0 and -60.
2. Add a Ring Chime Pro if signal is weak.
Adjust camera angle
1. Pointing the camera at a light source or reflective surface causes glare.
2. Use a Ring Wedge Kit or Corner Kit to eliminate glare.
Clean the camera lens
1. Wipe the lens gently with a soft, dry cloth.
2. Dust or condensation can cause blurry video.
