Ring Floodlight Cam Siren Not Working

🔄 Try this first — Switch off the power at the consumer unit or the floodlight cam power supply for 10 seconds, then switch it back on. Also restart your router by unplugging for 30 seconds.

The built-in siren is not responding to manual activation or motion triggers as configured.

Common Symptoms

  • Siren does not sound when triggered from the Ring app
  • Siren previously worked but has stopped

Safe Checks You Can Try

1. Test the Siren from the Ring App

Open the Ring app, go to your Ring Floodlight Cam settings and tap the Siren button to manually test it. Confirm the camera is online before testing.

2. Check Siren Settings

In the Ring app go to your Ring Floodlight Cam settings and confirm the siren is enabled and configured. The siren volume may also be adjustable in settings.

3. Check Ring Protect Plan

Some siren features may require a Ring Protect plan. Check your subscription status in the Ring app under Account.

4. Restart the Camera

Switch off the power at the consumer unit or the floodlight cam power supply for 10 seconds, then switch it back on. Allow two minutes to restart and test the siren again from the Ring app.

5. Check Power Supply

The siren requires stable mains power. Check Device Health for any power warnings. A camera with power issues may not be able to activate the siren.
